Vine Leaves & Revamping...

It's been a long time since I've blogged here. That's because I've been rethinking my blog for 2012. I have a rough idea what I want to do, but still mulling it over...

What I would like to mention is the new literary journal Vine Leaves created by authors Jessica Bell and Dawn Ius. Two of my pieces were accepted for the first issue, which will be published some time today, I believe. Here is the link: Vine Leaves

I love the concept of this journal, which is to address the "vignette." To date, no journal that I've read has ever focused on this aspect of writing.

All of us know that sometimes a snatch of life is what comes to us first, and if we get that down on paper (or screen) something mighty might come of it. However, just peering into a slice of life, "an atmosphere" as these authors have said, can trigger emotions you might not have expected. It's like looking at a piece of abstract art. You don't have to know exactly what it is to experience a mood or something deeper.
